Assessment

Yacapaca quizzes are an amazingly flexible tool for baselining, pre-tests, post-tests and anywhere you need formative assessment. Set a quiz with a few clicks and be delighted at how much your students enjoy the Yacapaca interface. Homework

Yacapaca Homeworks solve the problem of retention of previously-covered topics. All you have to set is the current topic and the length of time you want your students to study. Yacapaca then selects questions of the appropriate level for that particular student from our question bank on that topic, then mixes in a few questions each time from the topics they have previously covered. You will see the benefit come revision time, when even topics covered two years previously are still fresh in students' minds and do not have to be re-learned from scratch. Ideally, set these on a weekly schedule throughout the course. Even if it's only for 5 minutes per week per student, you will quickly see the benefits.

Revision

Revision is enabled by default for any student following a supported syllabus. Students will have the most appropriate questions selected for them by our Computer-adaptive Testing (CAT) algorithm. Their attainment level in each topic is also monitored, and the question mix is adjusted to compensate. With formative feedback in the questions and built-in reward mechanisms, it's like having a personal robot tutor. You get a weekly report on each student's diligence and attainment level.
