Super stuff for the lead-up to the holidays.

  • Summer Holiday Plan is a website task. Students can build their own mini-website describing their plans for the summer, then download it to CD. It is very open-ended and can be used as classwork or homework. If you have not set website tasks before, you will be delighted at how easy it is to manage, and how motivating it is for the students.
  • The quizzes are geography-based, and come in standard and slow timings as well as three levels of difficulty. Here are the teachers' notes.
  • The survey is a great way to bring the class together, perhaps as a starter for a debate. It is especially useful if your classroom has a data projector. Teachers' Notes here.

The quiz was designed as a fun way to improve awareness of Nepal as part of our International School Work. The students really liked it as a follow up to the Assemblies during the week. It worked really well as a team quiz and as a group research activity in form time. Have a go it is fun and educational!
